Clinical Facilities Upgrade & Diagnostic Services Reconfiguration

The project scope included the construction and enhancement of CT rooms, cath lab and angio day-care spaces, and a series of specialist clinical rooms requiring structural amendments to accommodate medical imaging equipment, building services upgrades, and stringent lead shielding requirements. 

Working in a live healthcare environment demanded strict control of noise, vibration, dust and access, with daily coordination between the contractor, Galway Clinic operations, and the design team to ensure patient pathways and essential hospital services remained uninterrupted.

The upgraded accommodation significantly enhances the Clinic’s diagnostic and treatment capability, delivering modern, and patient-focused spaces that strengthen the hospital’s regional healthcare offering.
